Manor Rat

Species: Rat
Threat Level: Medium
Hostility: High

Appearance

Manor Rats are large, rodent-like creatures with the visage of a human face that appears stitched on. They can be seen with tattered dark fur, exposed bone, several stitches, and empty eye sockets.

It is common to see a Manor Rat leaking a foul, unknown diasese.

Traits

The Manor Rats capitalize on their diasese-ridden bodies to infect and weaken their prey.

Due to their tattered and exposed exterior, they can act as hosts for smaller rats.

Manor Rats, despite their aggressive stature, still inherit rat-like instincts, and can be easily startled by loud noises, causing them to flee.

Notes

The Manor Rats are most commonly found in The Common Halls, but are known to be found on just about every other floor in The Manor.

In the early stages of a Manor Rat's life, they develop a diasese that takes a few weeks to build up an immunity to. This diasese causes them extreme distress and excrutiating tooth pain, severe enough for them to claw and wittle away at their teeth until the disease has numbed them to pain.

It's presumed the use their faces to allow them to approach unsuspecting victims face-first from the darkness, allowing them to close the distance in that split second hesitation.
