She recounted the moment for what must have been nights, now. Motionless, was Sawbone, back against the wall, her face buried in her knees, sat upon the boards stained with the blood of one who once depended on her, a patient she came to know.
It was quiet now, a stillness she despised. She couldn't help but feel like as though it was deserved. This was someone she took under her care, it was never supposed to end this way.
...the glow of the blood on the saw faded three nights ago. She retched at the thought of turning her head to look, she only noticed the glow had faded from her peripheral vision.
